Former Bad Boy recording artist, Shyne, who was recently released from prison after serving a 10 year sentence has reportedly inked a seven figure record deal with Def Jam.

According to reports, Def Jam won the bidding war between Dr. Dre, Jimmy Iovine and other major labels for the rights to release Shyne’s new album.

Reportedly Shyne is being managed by Hip-Hop Since 1978, the same management company over Lil’ Wayne, Drake and Young Jeezy to name a few.

Shyne was denied access into the country due to errors on his immigration papers and it is reported that he may record his new album in London. Meanwhile, Scott Storch is expected to be producing a huge portion of Shyne’s new album.

This isn’t the first time Shyne landed a seven figure deal with Def Jam. In 2004, Shyne was signed to Def Jam but soon ran into problems with CEO LA Reid over the promotion of his 2004 album “Godfather: Buried Alive.”

Soon after releasing his first album “Shyne,” his career came to an abrupt halt when he was sentenced to 10 years in prison for assault and gun charges after he, along with Diddy and then girlfriend Jennifer Lopez were involved in a New York nightclub shooting.

You can listen to Shyne's 1st song since his release here- Leaked off Dj Khaled's new album
