Rap mogul Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, never talks publicly about his wife, pop singer Beyonce Knowles.
The couple kept their romance private when they started dating in 2002, they briefly denied their secret wedding in April 2008 at the rapper’s Manhattan penthouse apartment and they refrain from public affection.
Jay-Z plans to reveal details from his wedding to B and his courtship in a new book. He also will reveal details of his drug dealing days in Brooklyn, and he will discuss his free-style approach to recording in the studio.
Jay and B brought in a combined $162 million in 2008 to top Forbes magazine’s list of the richest celebrity couples. They have collaborated on several rap songs through the years, such as “Crazy in Love”, “Deja Vu” and their first duet “03 Bonnie and Clyde”.
