Let's face it, if you never cared about the Oscars, you still don't care.... unless you were wondering what Chris Rock was going to do since there was supposed to be an "Oscars Black-Out." Meaning black people were to protest and boycott the Oscars, due to lack of diversity.

This stemmed from a video that went viral, from Jada Pinkett-Smith, bringing to light that Will Smith and other minorities were not getting nominated for racial reasons.

Considering the backlash from his own race, Chris Rock still went on with hosting the 88th Academy Awards (aka The Oscars) and even tackled the same topics, which were ever so controversial.

Chris took shots at Will and Jada Smith and touched on topics, such as slavery and blacks being shot by cops, that more than likely made some people very uncomfortable in that room.
"This whole no-black nominees things has happened at least 71 other times. Black people did not protest, because we had REAL things to protest at the time. Too busy being raped and lynched to care about who won Best Cinematographer."
He then went on to raise over 65k for his daughter's Girl Scout team, selling those delicious Girl Scout cookies to the big shot millionaires in the building. Nice job Chris!
