Don't mess with LL!
LL Cool J came face-to-face with a burglary suspect in his home, and took the guy down with his own hands, breaking his nose, jaw AND ribs.
According to law enforcement sources ... the suspect entered LL's Los Angeles area house around 1 or 2am and when the "Mama Said Knock You Out" rapper/ actor heard some commotion downstairs, he went to check it out ...found the intruder and knocked him out!
When Los Angeles police arrived at the Blairwood Drive homeLL Cool J had detained the battered and bruised suspect. The man was later identified as Jonathan Kirby, 56, a transient with a lengthy arrest record for thefts, fights and drugs, officials said.
Police say LL Cool J will NOT be charged with assault after the incident... but the suspect was arrested on suspicion of burglary and may face a battery charge.
UPDATE: The 56 year old suspect faces LIFE IN PRISON. He's a 3rd strike offender in California... if convicted, he faces a maximum of 38 years to life in prison.
