Jurors deliberated for an hour before returning of rapper Lil' Boosie's verdict.

Torence "Lil Boosie" Hatch -- who was featured on the 2007 hit "Wipe Me Down" and Dj Khaled's "Out Here Grindin'" -- stood quietly, bowing his head and pumped his fist up Friday when he heard the Not-Guilty decision from the 12-person jury.
"You've been found not guilty. You stuck your fist up in the air and I can't exactly say that I blame you,"
the judge said.

Prosecutors were trying to prove that Boosie hired Michael "Marlo Mike" Louding to kill 35-year-old Terry Boyd, who was shot to death through a window while he was inside his home. Boyd's sister, Rochelle Wagner, is the mother of Boosie's 5-year-old daughter.

During the trial Prosecutor Dana Cummings tried to establish that through his song lyrics, Lil' Boosie orchestrated murder.

A computer forensics expert testified Wednesday that it was 11:24 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2009, when Lil' Boosie recorded a lyric in the song “187’’ (code for murder) that says,
“Yo Marlo. He drive a Monte Carlo. I want that (expletive) dead.’’
That same night, in lyrics recorded at 11:26 p.m., Boosie calls himself the “John Gotti of the south side’’ and raps,
“I want that (expletive) dead today.’’
At 11:54 p.m. that night, the expert testified, Boosie recorded the lyric,
“please tell him it’s from Boosie when you hit that (expletive) up.’’

Then, at 12:50 a.m. on Oct. 21, 2009, just eight minutes after Boyd was killed, Lil' Boosie recorded a lyric to the song “Body Bag’’ that says “rock a bye baby.’’ Experts testified it was 12:51 a.m. when he recorded lyrics that say,
“Curtain call. Put that (expletive) brains on the wall’’ and “How you going to bust me in a body bag?’’
Prosecutor Dana Cummings had told jurors that Lil' Boosie wanted Boyd killed because he learned in a letter from an inmate that Boyd, who had recently been released from prison, planned to do him harm.

Lil' Boosie's attorneys called that allegation nonsense and said Boyd’s sister and Boosie had a child together and him and Boyd had no disagreement between them.

As for the lyrics played in court, Boosie's attorney said some of the lyrics were recorded long before Boyd was killed, and what jurors heard was “resampled’’ lyrics.
"She has put the entertainment industry on trial,"
Williams said of lead prosecutor Dana Cummings.
"She has put an entire culture on trial."
Boosie, 29, may have gotten off for murder but is currently serving an eight-year prison term on separate drug charges, allegedly with about a year and a half to go. Had he been convicted in Boyd's slaying, he would have faced life in prison.

As for Boosie's friend, Marlo, who is just 19, he faces murder charges in six deaths, including Boyd's, over 14 months.

Before he was acquitted, Boosie thanked his fans for sticking by his side in a letter:
