The Canadian rapper, seemed disturbed after the news surfaced that Kia Shine has reportedly alleged Drake of “25 percent ownership” accusations regarding his hit single “The Best I ever had.”

Drake wrote in his blog, thereby confronting Kia Shine by saying that the claims made by the latter is fabricated. In his blog Drake says, “I have never met Kia Shine or worked with him. I wrote the entire composition in Toronto and I borrowed one line from a Lil Wayne song that he produced the BEAT for. The claims of 25 [percent] ownership are false and for [an] artist to brag about splits on a song is distasteful to begin with.”

The alleged confrontation between the two kick started when Shine dropped the bombshell by claiming that he was the one who penned down the chart-topping hit single which reportedly squeezed to chart list as it peaked at No 2 at the Billboards Hot 100. Coincidentally Shine produced the Lil Wayne song “Do It For The Boy” which actually inspired Drake’s hit single “The Best I Ever Had”. Shine has reportedly said in an interview that he was shocked when he heard that Drake has borrowed his song (according to Shine) without his consent.
