The show at New York’s Madison Square Garden brought
together some of most popular U.S. and British acts, including
Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Billy
Joel, Bon Jovi, Kanye West and Eric Clapton, to raise money for
victims of Super Storm Sandy.
With legendary acts like these guys, the concert was sure raise tons of money.
So how much did the actual concert raise this week??.... $30 million in ticket revenue,
sponsorships and corporate donation, ccording to the Robin
Hood Foundation, which organized the event.
Additional funds will be raised through merchandise sales,
auctions of autographed items, CD and DVD sales, as well as
downloads of songs on Apple Inc.’s (AAPL) iTunes, a spokesperson for the organization said.
President Barack Obama has also asked
Congress for $60.4 billion to pay for damage caused by Sandy.
