Also March 21st VH1 will be airing "Love & Hip-Hop" featuring Somaya Reece and Somaya says we will get to see inside her life, coming up in the Hip Hop industry as a female artist.

Somaya is taking it all in stride and says it best in her owns words below
quoted form her own website http://missreece.com/

"FOR A GIRL LIKE ME WHO LITERALLY GREW UP CLEANING TOILETS WITH MY MOTHER, WAS SABOTAGED MY ENTIRE COME UP BY JEALOUS HATERS BY BOYFRIENDS/GRIMY MUSIC PRODUCERS, BUT I NEVER GAVE UP ON MY MUSIC. HARD, BUT I OVERCAME ADVERSITY. AND I KEPT MY CHIN UP WITH A SMILE EVEN WHEN I WAS CRYING ON THE INSIDE. I CRAWLED OUT OF THE DARKNESS. MOMENTS LIKE THESE ARE REALLY DOPE FOR ME. AND A REMINDER OF HOW FAR I'VE COME IN LIFE. THE OPPORTUNITIES I HAVE BEEN GIVEN DUE TO MY HARD WORK ARE APPRECIATED LIKE THE ROOF OVER MY HEAD. I APPRECIATE THOSE THINGS, NOT THE MATERIAL. I DON'T
THINK I'M "COOL" JUST THANKFUL. I JUST WANT TO DO WHAT I LOVE AND BRING SMILES TO FANS. I'M CROSSING MY FINGERS."

Best of luck to Somaya with all that she touches!

More on VH1's show Love & Hip Hop (premieres Monday, March 21, 2011)

When people think of the hip hop life, they think of the players - the men who shape the music and the blinged-out lifestyle that comes with success. The fact is the hip hop life is different for the women involved: the spouses, girlfriends or artists trying to define themselves in a world where men are still calling the shots. VH1’s new, eight-part docu-soap series Love & Hip Hop follows four dynamic women who are connected to the world of hip hop, whether it’s through the men they love, or their struggle to be heard as an artist. Love & Hip Hop provides a dramatic, funny and sometimes heartbreaking look into the female side of the New York hip hop life as these four women try to claim their own place in it.
