All seven passengers on board, including Nelly, were detained. They were released after one man admitted the weapon and the controlled substances – 10.4 lbs of marijuana, .64 ozs of heroin and a .45 cal pistol – belonged to him. He was arrested and awaits bond.
Nelly tells TMZ, “It is my understanding a member of my staff made an unfortunate decision to bring unlawful materials onto our tour bus that resulted in his arrest this morning."
He's not the only one who got busted at this same location... it's the same checkpoint where multitudes of celebs have been busted for drugs in recent years ... including Willie Nelson, Armie Hammer, Snoop Dogg, and Fiona Apple.
