The champagne was flowing at the $40,000 a person Obama fundraiser.... Jay-Z & Beyonce's party planners built a golden tower of 350 bottles of Ace of Spade worth $105,000, and served finger foods, including sliders.

The event was slated to raise $4 million for President Obama’s re-election campaign. President Barack Obama tweeted this photo of a fundraising dinner he attended at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club...along with the quote, 
"A couple supporters in a New York state of mind last night."
According to sources, Obama said Jay-Z and Beyonce
“remember what it’s like not having anything, and we know people who were just as talented as us that didn’t get the same break, the same chance."
“We understand that ... those of us who have been blessed with success and been able to walk through those doors of opportunity, we don’t slam the door behind us. We prop it open."
Our 44th president praised his hostess saying,
“To Jay and Bey, thank you so much for your friendship. Beyoncé could not be a better role model for my girls,”
according to reports. He added that he and Jay-Z have a few things in common.
“We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are. So, you know, we’ve got a little bond there. It’s hard but it’s OK.”
“Michelle, Sasha and Malia are mad at me because they aren’t here.”
Hours before the top-secret affair, Jay-Z tweeted:
"Guest list. Obama plus 40."
Beyoncé, wearing a red cocktail dress, gave a brief introduction of the president.
“I can’t tell you how proud we are to host tonight’s event with President Obama...We believe in his vision.”
