New Years Eve will never be the same!

He rang in the New Year with us every year since 1972 and brought us so many breaking television moments but today (April 18, 2012) the legendary Dick Clark passed away at the age of 82.

Clark was best known for hosting long-running television shows such as American Bandstand, five versions of the game show Pyramid, and of course Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.

A massive heart attack took his death today. Clark's health had been on the decline since he suffered a significant stroke in 2004 -- forcing him to retire from his hosting gig at "New Year's Rockin' Eve." Ryan Seacrest took over in 2006. Dick has appeared on the show sporadically ever since. His final appearance was in 2011.

Does this mean we will be seeing Dick Clark back to life in hologram too? -__-
