Kanye West plans on recording a remix of the late Amy Winehouse’s song ‘Back to Black,’ and hopes to perform his rendition in London for Moss Bros 160th Anniversary.
According to reports, Yeezy has already created the remix. A source calls it
“pretty emotive,”adding,
“It’s Kanye singing from the heart — with synthesizers.”Kanye says he met Amy during Paris Fashion Week a few years ago and was taken by her “amazing” presence.
And even thought Kanye repeated showed his love for Amy, she did call him a "cunt" at one point...
She said:
“Let’s hear it for Jay-Z. The man has got bollocks to come here, and play the tunes you don’t even know you remember. Imagine if it was a cunt like Kanye West. ‘Cunts like Kanye’ – that should be his next album title.”
Kanye joins a long list of musicians who have paid tribute to Winehouse in one way or another. Coldplay performed a cover of ‘Rehab’ at Splendour in the Grass; Green Day were inspired to pen a new song about the star; and Adele recently dedicated a tune to Winehouse at her rescheduled concert date in Vancouver.
