I guess they’re giving away TV shows like buy one, get one free because everybody and they’re moms has one. And I mean that literally. The latest ladies to join the boob tube bandwagon are not a new crop of Playboy bunnies or another crew of housewives, but actually the mothers of three of the biggest artists in music. T-Pain, Lil Wayne and Ne-Yo’s mothers are all teaming up and getting their slice of the TV pie with their new show, Dinner Table Discussions.
According to AllHipHop, the three ladies, Aliyah “Mama Pain” Najm (T-Pain‘s mother), Jacida Carter (Lil Wayne’s mother) and H. Loraine Smith (Ne-Yo’s mother) will serve as hosts of the show which will have more of a talk show format. Not like the mindless dribble that passes for other talk shows or reality shows, the women plan to enhance their viewership “educationally, economically, socially and culturally,” with their content.“Our vision is to be a premier talk show that delivers a creative and informative format that assists viewers in educating and solving challenging issues,” Najm said in a statement. She continued, “There are situations in our communities, cities, states and even nationwide that people have made us aware of and they want to resolve the issues, but they just don’t know where to get help or how to properly handle certain issues.”

Like they always say, mothers know best. The show is set to kick off in 2010. No word as yet on which network will carry the program.
